Closer to Where We Began

Some moments don’t need to be planned.

They don’t appear on itineraries or wait at marked locations. They arrive quietly — often when you’ve stopped looking for them.

Deep in the forests of Arunachal, with nothing but the sound of flowing water and the stillness that surrounds it, we found one of those moments.

There was no rush here. No noise asking for attention. No sense of needing anything more.

Just a simple act — one that feels almost forgotten in the pace of modern life. The kind of moment people have known for generations, long before things became layered with complexity.

Water against skin. Air moving freely. Time stretching without urgency.

Nothing extraordinary — and yet, everything felt complete.

In places like this, the idea of “travel” begins to shift. You don’t feel like you’ve arrived somewhere new or different. Instead, there’s a quiet recognition.

As if you’ve returned. Returned to a way of being that is more natural. More grounded. Less divided between doing and simply existing.

The forest doesn’t ask you to understand it. It doesn’t try to impress you.

It only offers space — to slow down enough to feel what has always been there.

And for a brief moment, you are not searching, not moving ahead, not holding on.

You are just there.

Closer to where we began.

These moments unfold during our Into The Wild Arunachal Journey, where travel is not always about discovering something new, but about remembering something deeply familiar. 🌿
