For a little while, the world became smaller.

A remote valley. A road that brought us there. Mountains stretching quietly into the distance. And a group of people who, for a few days, shared the same corner of the world.

We came from different places. Different lives. Different stories. Different reasons for being there. But somewhere between the mountains and the open skies, those differences seemed to matter less. There was no need to explain where we came from.

There was simply the landscape in front of us, the conversations beside us, and the quiet comfort of sharing a moment with people who had been strangers not long ago.

Days felt slower here. Conversations lasted longer. Silence felt easier. A road became an invitation to wander, a valley became a place to pause, and ordinary moments somehow began to feel worth remembering.

Nothing extraordinary had to happen. We were simply together, somewhere far removed from the noise we had left behind. And perhaps that is what makes certain journeys different. They don’t just give you memories of where you went. They give you a feeling of having belonged somewhere — even if only for a little while.

A feeling that stays quietly with you after the road ends, long after the mountains disappear from view.

Because some journeys give you photographs. The rare ones give you a world of your own, shared with people who happened to be there at the same time.

For a while, this was our world.
